Mommy Duck, Daddy Duck & Nest Breakfast!

Ducks and Nest Breakfast!

I wanted to make breakfast fun for Logan so I did a spin on "eggs in a basket" and instead did "Mommy, Daddy and Duck Nest"

Take sliced bread (the more rustic the better) and spread both sides with butter. Using a cookie cutter (Ducks In this case of course) cut them carefully
out of the bread.  I was able to get 2 per slice, just adjust based on the size of bread you are using. Make sure to allow at least some bread on the edges otherwise the egg will run.

Heat a sautee pan over medium high heat and spray with non stick cooking spray.  Add bread to pan (you need to hear that nice sizzle sound, if not you're pan is not hot enough!)  Carefully crack egg into the duck slot!

Cook egg to desired taste (If looking for sunny side cook the bread on one side then flip and add egg, flip bread and egg for over easy).  Once your egg is cooked sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with cheese.

Place egg and toast into oven at a low temperature of 150*, to help keep warm while you make the remaining toasts and to melt the cheese.
Don't forget your ducks!!  Take your saved cut out ducks and toast in the pan.

Garnish your Ducks with some jam wings, raisin eyes & love!

Serve the Ducks with their nest and enjoy!!

"Cheers" from my family to yours!
